FAQ

Do I need an account?
No. Recall is local-first. There is no sign-in and no cloud sync of your journal.
Where is my data stored?
On your device, in a local database. Photo originals stay in your system Photos / Gallery; Recall may keep small thumbnails and asset links.
How do I back up?
Open the You tab and use Backup to export a .recallbackup file via the system share sheet. Restore from the same area when you need to.
How do I delete everything?
In You, choose Delete all data. That wipes the local journal and returns you to onboarding. Uninstalling also removes App data from the device.
Why does Recall ask for Photos, Contacts, or Location?
All are optional for basic journaling. Photos help Moments and tagging; Contacts suggest people names; Location can power Today place review when you enable it. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Is there a web version of the journal?
No. This site is for download links, support, and legal pages. The journal itself runs on iOS and Android.

For App Review

Recall has no login. Reviewers can complete onboarding with any name and date of birth, optionally grant Photos to explore Import → Moments, and use the copper + control to open the Tag sheet. Contact: recall@memba.app.
